Silent Auction Planned for Breaking Up Winter
Again this year, we will hold a Silent Auction at Breaking Up Winter. This
event was extremely popular last year and earned over $1,600 for Notsba. It
helped us compensate our wonderful presenters and artists as well as offset
other expenses incurred with Breakin’ Up Winter.
This year, you are asked again to consider donating any items related to
old-time music that you no longer need and that are in good condition. Last
year, instruments, stands, cases, books, CDs, music accessories, services
(instrument set up, lessons, etc) and other things were donated. This year,
we hope for more of the same and anything else you think an old-time
musician would be interested in.
If you’re in the market for some old-time music-related items, save your
money and bring cash or check with you to BUW. This is a great opportunity
for you to snag those special things you’ve been looking for. Some of last
year’s buyers are now playing the instruments they bought, and of course,
books, CDs, etc are valuable tools for learning some of those old-time tunes
you’ve always wanted to play.
If you have anything you’d like to donate, please contact me, Phil Sparks,
at kpsparks at msn.com or at (615) 797-4356-or simply bring your item to the
auction site in the Assembly Hall at BUW. Phil or someone else working with
the auction will be there to take your item and your information. (Also,
this year, you can designate a minimum starting bid if you want to do so.)
Please review this list. If you have any of these items that you no longer
need, consider donating them to a worthy cause:
